Exhibiting with FW Gallery in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

It is my pleasure to send three artworks to the FW Gallery in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. These three works on board were created in early 2020. You can find FW Gallery on Instagram @fwgallery and via their website at https://www.fwgallery.net/.

These artworks are on 2” cradled 12 x 12” gessoed boards and are made with pen, ink, acrylic paint, and collage. The artwork to the right is Physical Plant. These are the first artworks I’ve created on board, I’ve been primarily working on mixed-media paper. The boards are sanded well between coats of gesso yet the surface responds to pen and ink in a different way than paper. It seems to absorb the ink more and I was able to create more definite lines. I tend to let my drawing and collage work dictate how the work evolves, it is not so much of a theme but more of call and response.
